Being unsure

I’ve heard from various professional doctors and researchers that they advise others in their field that it is better to admit that you don’t know something rather than to go ahead being unsure. I feel like everyone making important decisions should be able to admit that they don’t know without being ridiculed by others for it. I even think that they should be appreciated for not making a decision with a false sense of knowledge.

Why is it not okay to be unsure?

I do not know.

Convenience

One of my teachers told me that ‘Humans take convenient decisions, not good decisions.’ I see it all the time in my life too - people driving cars instead of cycling, throwing garbage on the road instead of in dustbins, and I’m sure you can list examples too. Good decisions aren’t usually the most convenient or cheapest ones. You’ve got to study for hours if you want marks, exercise tirelessly if you want to lose weight, if you want to see development. There needs to be struggle it you want to see development. Why then is struggle so unfavorable if all it does is develop?

Why do people choose easy when they know it’s bad?

I didn’t struggle writing this, but I feel like it was a good decision.

Fear.

Fear. It’s a powerful thing. It is fear of marks that makes me do homework. It is the fear of money that makes my dad work. It is the fear of starvation that makes my mom cook. It is the fear of death that makes people want to live.

Why then does fear get such a bad reputation? Why are people told to be fearless? Is it because fear is unpleasant to the mind?

Answers. I need answers.

I have the fear of not knowing.

Remembrance

If you simplify it down, the only reason we want to do good and change the world is because we want to be remembered. We’re not doing it for ourselves, we’re doing it for others, so that they’ll remember you long after you’re gone. But then if you’re not there to witness it, why does it feel so important?

Why do we want to leave a mark?

I write this as a way of being remembered, by you.
